Chennai-based, India's second largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, Ashok Leyland has reported a 4 per cent dip in sales for the month of May, selling 5,576 units as against 5,804 units  reported in the same month of the previous year.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>During the month the company saw a marginal rise of 2.51 per cent in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (goods) segment selling 3,988 units in the domestic market. However, it saw a steep drop of 23.63 per cent in sales of passenger vehicle (buses) in the M&amp;HCV segment selling just 1,131 units. </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Exports of the company stood at 415 units for the reporting month, up by 12.77 per cent as compared to 368 units sold in the May'07. </P>
