Back-office firms have beefed up teams at centres across India to handle the expected growth in customer interaction during the festive sales of e-commerce firms.
Global e-tailer Amazon is looking at doubling its business during the festive season. Flipkart, with a war chest of more than $4 billion, is set to penetrate deeper and grow business three times in the period, when nearly 40 per cent of the country’s retail sales is transacted. A third player, Paytm Mall, backed by Chinese e-commerce firm Alibaba, is also using the festive sales season to capture market share.
