EGoM meet on diesel price hike deferred

A meeting of the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) to decide on raising diesel and domestic LPG rates tomorrow has been deferred and no new dates have been intimated.

The EGoM headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee was scheduled to mull a hike in diesel and domestic LPG rates, which were last revised in June last year, but the meet was deferred without assigning any reason, an Oil Ministry official said.

"No new date has been intimated to us so far," he said.
