HCL annual revenue crosses Rs 10,000 cr mark

HCL Infosystems celebrated its 30th year posting a 47% growth in
consolidated revenue to Rs 11, 455 crore for the year ended June
30, 2006 as against the corresponding previous period's figure of Rs 7787.2 crore.

"It is a major achievement. As we enter the current year - which incidentally marks our 30 years of pioneering technology - we would continue to define the contours of Indian ICT industry even more passionately than ever," Ajai Chowdhary, chairman & CEO of the company, said.

The company's net profit stands at Rs 280 crore as against Rs 227 crore the previous year - a growth of 23%. Basic earning per share (EPS)
during the year ended June 30, 06 is Rs 16.7 per share of Rs 2 each as  compared to Rs 13.7 per share during previous year. The Board of Directors also recommended a 100% final dividend of Rs 2, taking the total dividend for the year FY06 to 400%.

The company reported consolidated revenue of Rs 3149.7 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as against Rs 2198.5 crore in the previous year - a growth of 43%. The net profit is reported at Rs 70.03 crore as against Rs. 59.04 crore in the previous year - a growth of 19%.
