Kansai Nerolac Paints Q2 net up 9% to Rs 51.7 crore

Company reported a net profit of Rs 47.4 crore in the same period last year

Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd today reported 9.07% increase in net profit at Rs 51.7 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 47.4 crore in the same period last year.

Kansai Nerolac's net sales during the quarter under review stood at Rs 781 crore, an increase of 14.95% as compared to Rs 679.4 crore in the corresponding period of previous year, the company said in a statement.

Overall expenses during the quarter stood at Rs 716.1 crore, up 15.59% as against Rs 619.5 crore in the same quarter last year.
 

The company's shares were trading at Rs 1200.90 per scrip on the BSE, up 4.27% from the previous close.
