Om Metals bags Rs 300 crore road order

Om Metals Infraprojects secured a DBFOT (Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer) road project of Rs 300 crore from the Rajasthan State Road Development & Construction, a Government of Rajasthan undertaking, in a joint venture. The order involves the development of a two-lane road from Jaipur (National Highway 12) to Bhilwara (National Highway 79) via Malpura, Kekri, Shahpura (State Highway 12).

The project starts SH-12, terminating at 212 km at NH-79 section. The company would get an initial grant of Rs 44 crore from the Government of Rajasthan.

Om Metals has won this order in a special purpose vehicle formed with SPML Infra (formerly called Subhash Projects & Marketing) on a sharing of 49:51. The concession period will be for 22 years including the construction period of 18 months from the appointed date.

Om Metals Infraprojects is also engaged in the real estate projects like developing residential, commercial, entertainment, leisure and hotel formats in the country. In 2006, the company entered into the business of development of SEZ and port at Pondicherry.
