Pune-based Gera Developers launch child-centric homes

Despite lull in the market, the developers are finding new ways to sell their products. City-based has come up with a concept of which includes celebrity academies to coach children professionally in over 15 disciplines such as sports, arts, music, dance, dramatics, public speaking and painting.

This can be experienced in Song of Joy at Gera's GreensVille, Kharadi in and will soon expand into Bangalore.

The company has signed up few Indian celebrities offering the intellectual, physical and vocational coaching in the housing society premises. Shankar Mahadevan for music, Shiamak Davar for dance, Viswanathan Anand for chess, Mahesh Bhupati for tennis, Anil Kumble for cricket and Dale Carnegie for personality development along with other tie-ups for swimming, arts, and dramatics.

It has a five-year contract with each of them and each academy will have its own premises on the project where children will be personally coached by professional teams. The new concept of was launched in and Bangalore. The first child-centric home development in will be Song of Joy, at Gera's Greensville, Kharadi and will comprise of 1,230 sq ft two bedroom and 1,660 sq ft three-bedroom apartments.

Speaking about this concept, Rohit Gera, chairman, Gera Developments said, "The launch of will create a paradigm shift in the for both, the developer as well as the home buyer. We have established a new category of living spaces designed keeping the child of the home as well as the parent's lifestyles in mind."
