Founded by Anubhab Goel, Amit Kumar and Gaurav Shrivastava, Zimmber had raised nearly $7.5 million from investors such as IDG Ventures and Omidyar Networks. The company raised its last round of $5 million in July 2016 and is suspected of having run out of money, leading to a sale.

While co-founder Amit Kumar will make the move to along with founding member Siddhartha Srivastava who serves as the CPO, the rest of the founding team have exited the business. in a statement said that the other founders will move on to "pursue other interests".

"This move is a result of strong similarities between our vision and Quikr's. Together we will be serving a larger customer base with varied demands," said Amit Kumar.
