Civil construction company RPP Infra Projects today posted a net profit of Rs 7.03 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011, up from Rs 2.18 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The company, engaged in the business of infrastructure development such as highways, roadways, bridges, civil construction works, irrigation, water supply projects and power plants, reported a 84% rise in its total sales at Rs 67.82 crore for Q1 FY'12 as against Rs 36.86 crore in the year-ago period.

"We are aiming for a decent growth in this fiscal which will also help us to strengthen our order book position," Company Chairman and Managing Director P Arulsundaram said in a statement issued here.

RPP Infra's EPS (Earnings Per Share) rose to Rs 3.11 as as compared to Rs 1.13 in the corresponding period in previous year.
