Drug firm Claris Lifesciences on Saturday reported 27 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 25 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 31. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 35 crore in the same period of 2011, Claris Lifesciences said in a filing to the BSE. Consolidated net sales rose to Rs 194 crore in the fourth quarter, compared with Rs 186 crore in the same period of 2011. For the year ended December 31, the company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 104 crore, compared to Rs 126.25 crore in 2011.
Net sales of the company for the year ended December 31, 2012 stood at Rs 762.72 crore, compared to Rs 738.76 crore in 2011. The company's board, which met on Saturday, also recommended a dividend of Rs 2 per equity share of Rs 10 each.
