Secondary steel producers like Bhushan Steel and Uttam Galva have agreed to a price cut of Rs 4,000 a tonne across the board in a meeting with the steel secretary R S Pandey today.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>This follows a decision by the primary steel producers last week to cut&nbsp; prices of flat products by Rs 4,000 a tonne and long products by Rs 2,000 a tonne.&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>There is no move by the primary steel producers to rollback the price cut they announced last week owing to the export duty notification on steel.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>The export duty is being examined, Pandey told reporters after the meeting. On May 10, the government notified an export duty of upto 15 per cent on steel.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P></p></table>
