Sun Pharmaceutical Industries' consolidated net profit zoomed more than 3-fold to Rs 2,033.71 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2016-17, on account of robust sales.
It had posted net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates and joint ventures of Rs 555.90 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Sun Pharma said in a BSE filing.
The company's consolidated total income from operations rose to Rs 8,242.99 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal, as against Rs 6,761.49 crore for the same period of 2015-16.
Sun Pharma stock closed 0.88% down at Rs 801.80 on BSE.
