Tenaga to manage parking at Hyd intl airport

The new Hyderabad International Airport, coming up at Shamshabad, will have an automated parking management system, which will be managed by Tenaga Parking (India) Private Limited (TPPL).
 
TPPL, part of the Malaysia-based Tenaga group, has bagged the contract to take care of the parking management for a period of three years, which can be extended further on mutual agreement.
 
The Tenaga group is currently managing parking facilities in prestigious projects across Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India.
 
"We have selected Tenaga Parking (India) Pvt Ltd, which will help us fulfil our goal of setting up international service standards in our new airport," chief operating officer of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL), T Srinagesh, stated in a press release here on Wednesday.
 
As per the contract, GHIAL will develop the car parking facility with necessary equipment including surfacing of the entire car park area, internal roads, marking, signages, landscaping and provision of utilities like electricity and water. Tenaga, on its part, will execute the management services.
 
The special features of the parking management system include automated service, valet services and management of VIP parking, public transport system and car area for customers.
 
The parking area in front of the passenger terminal building comprises over 3,500 car bays. In front of the cargo terminal building, there will be around 153 two-wheeler bays, 125 car bays and 30 truck parking bays besides dock parking bays.
