There could be delay in vendor payments: Tata Motors

Tata Motors today said there is "some delay" in payments to vendors, but refused to quantify it.

"There could be delay in payments. It is a difficult situation. The whole industry is facing problems," Tata Motors Managing Director Ravi Kant told reporters here.

The company is facing liquidity problems, he said, but refused to divulge the cash balance with the company.

Since December 1, 2008, the company has collected Rs 610 crore under the Tata Motors fixed deposit scheme.
