BPO services provider vCustomer India will open a centre in Chennai by April, a top official of the company said.

The company, which has centres in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Phillippines, would be setting up its sixth facility for a substantial amount, vCustomer India Executive Director Naveen Joshua told PTI.

The company offers services in retail, technology, telecommunication and hospitality sectors.

Claiming that the company was the first to introduce the VoIP platform in the CISCO platform, he said the amount of investment for developing the Chennai facility would be in line with the other facilities in the country.

"We have zeroed in on Chennai for our centre and are currently evaluating a few locations before picking a particular place in Chennai. The investment will be multi-crore in line with all our other facilities with the best infrastructure," he said.

The company has invested over USD 20 million in India in the last three years to create a technology infrastructure in all its centres, he said.

The Chennai facility initially would be a mid-size leased centre, he said.
