With its biggest daily jump in cases so far, the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the world now stands at 2,850,549. There have been 198,109 deaths worldwide, while 812,407, or roughly 28% of all confirmed cases have now recovered.
In India, the confirmed cases tally is at 24,942, with 780 deaths. A little over 22 per cent of confirmed cases, or 5,498 people, have now recovered from the infection. Daily new cases are yet to see any significant reduction.
