MPSC announces exam results 2016

Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced the State Service Mains examination results on March 16, 2017. Candidates can check their results on the official website www.mpsc.gov.in. Successful candidates will be appointed to fill the vacancies to the various state service departments, which include the police, administration and finance departments, in group A and B services. 

According to an official notification, a total of 130 candidates have qualified. Of the total successful candidates, 71 candidate have qualified for group A postings and 59 for the group B. 

State Service Mains examination 2016 results 
 
Nasik-based Bhushan Ashok Ahire has topped the examination. He along with the next four top rankers Shrikant Shahu Gaikwad, Sanjaykumar Achyutrao Davhale, Sandip Sadashiv Bhaske and Nilam Bharat Bafna are declared eligible for recommendation to Deputy Collector, Group A – DCA post. 

Among women candidates, Satara-based Poonam Patil has topped with a total score of 507 points. She is eligible for recommendation to the deputy superintendent of police / assistant commissioner of police, group A – ACP post. 

In total, 34 women candidates and 2 physically challenged candidates were selected. 

The results published will list the recruitment recommendation and The selected candidates will fill positions of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent Of Police / Assistant Commissioner Of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Sales Tax, Deputy Chief Executive Officer / Block Development Officer, Assistant Director - Maharashtra Finance and Account Service, Chief Officer- Municipal Corporation / Municipal Parishad, Tahsildar, Deputy Education Officer - Maharashtra Education Service, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, and Section Officer posts in the state government.

The commission conducted the preliminary exam for State Service selection in 37 districts including Mumbai in order to fill 135 vacancies.

In total, about 1,91,563 candidates appeared for the examination held on in April 10, 2016. Of the total candidates, 1575 candidates were shortlisted for the main examination. The mains were held on September 25 and 26, 2016 in Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nagpur and Pune. About 418 candidates who cleared the mains, were called for an interview rounds held from January 16 to 24, 2017.
