Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy may have to face Central Bureau Investigation(CBI), before Supreme Court takes up the petitions of the West Bengal government and Trinamool Congress' pleas against the central agency as the apex court today deferred the hearing of the same.
The matter may come up for hearing later in the week or in the next week. While Kapil Sibal would appear for state government, former Additional Solicitor General Vivek Tanka like to represent the Trinamool Congress. West Bengal government and Trinamool Congress had separately moved Supreme Court asking it to monitor the ongoing Saradha probe by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) alleging selective leaks by central agency in Saradha investigation affecting image of the state government.
Mukul Roy, who was served a summon notice by CBI recently, was expected to turn up before the CBI this week. Roy had earlier said, he would face CBI only the after apex court heard the government and party's plea.

Singur hearing in March
Meanwhile, the final hearing in Singur land acquisition case in Supreme Court is also been deferred till March, 2015.
Officials close to the development said, no specific dates had been mentioned for March hearing.
Tata Motors pulled out of Singur in October 2008 and went to Gujarat. In its first cabinet decision the Mamata Banerjee government decided to return land to the unwilling farmers in May 2011. Later the state government had passed The Singur Land Rehabilitation and Development Act 2011, that empowered the state government to regain 400 acres of land out of the leased 997 acres acquired by the Left Front government to lease it to Tata Motors in 2007 for proposed Nano factory.
Since then there have been several round of legal battles between the Tatas and state government over the validity of the Act and the matter was now pending with Supreme court.
