Situation in Chennai city over the Jallikattu row is getting out of hand as the clash between police and protestors resulted in Ice House police station set on fire in Triplicane area. Petrol bombs were used to throw at the police station.

The area is just two kilometers away from the Secretariat, where Assembly session is currently happening.

Meanwhile, the State assembly has commenced today morning. The session started with a tribute to former chief minister Jayalalithaa followed by Governor's speech. Bill to replace ordinance on Jallikattu to be placed in Assembly will be a permanent one, said
