Chiranjeevi wins in Tirupati assembly constituency

Praja Rajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi has won his maiden election from Tirupati Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh.
Chiranjeevi beat his Congress rival and former chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams B Karunakar Reddy by a margin of over 10,500 votes, official sources said.
He is, however, still trailing in Palakollu, the second constituency he is contesting from in his native West Godavari district.
