The fifth edition of Agromax, Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) flagship national agri-business conference, held in Guwahati for the first time, saw experts, farmers and industry commence a dialogue on building a framework for Indian Good Agricultural Practices (Indo GAP) to boost farm productivity.
The conference addressed the need to evolve a set of world class and good agricultural practices that will help Indian farmers ensure sustained higher harvests to adequately combat the food crisis. Agromax aims at promoting few select traditional good agricultural practices and methods of India and replicating the same in low-yield areas.
