The Tamil Nadu government proposed to construct 22,000 houses across the state at an investment of Rs 2,000 crore, according to state minister for revenue and Housing, I Periasami.

</p><p class='TableClas'>He said around 1,000 to 2,000 houses would be constructed in Foreshore Estate area, some in surburban Valasaravakkam and the remaining in various parts of the state.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>The Tamil Nadu Housing Board currently holds Rs 200 crore while the remaining funds would be generated by floating tenders, he added.</P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
