Nepal tourism dept launches digital message board

Nepal Tourism Board has today launched a satellite-controlled digital information board for the convenience of tourists.      

Nepal Tourism Boards CEO Prachanda Man Shrestha inaugurated the digital facility at the NTBs head office here at a function.      

The 28x204 inch digital ticker board having 15,000 characters memory can be operated through SMS and used to disseminate a variety of information, including weather, road accident, flight schedule, traffic flow etc.      

This will be a milestone on the path of tourism promotion in Nepal, observed Shrestha saying, "the message board can be utilised to disseminate authentic, reliable and timely information on a variety of issues that are of crucial importance for travellers as well as general public.
