Votive Software Solutions, a city-based IT start-up, has entered into a partnership with MySQL, a Swedish open source database server technology pioneer.
The partnership enables Votive to provide training on the Swedish company's database product and market the product in the Indian market exclusively.
Announcing this here at a press conference today, Gerardo Narvaja, an executive of MySQL, said that the company was expecting that the state governments and the union government would become biggest IT consumers.

There are about four million MySQL server installations worldwide, out of which about one million are estimated to be commercial installations.
