Sir Richard Branson once famously said: “If you want to be a millionaire, start with a billion dollars and launch a new airline.” The opposite, many argue, holds true in the case of school education in India. Set up a school with Rs 100 crore and you’ll soon have Rs 1,000 crore in the bank. This despite the fact that education in India is “not for profit” by definition.
