The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is likely to lead the Lok Sabha seats tally in Bihar and Maharashtra, according to the ABP News-Nielsen opinion poll released on Friday.
The poll has also predicted 28 seats for Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress in West Bengal and a good showing by Lalu Prasad's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar.
It says the Left Front will end up with its worst showing ever, with 10 seats and 12 per cent drop in its vote share, while Janata Dal (U) will feel the heat in Bihar, to bag only six seats.
According to the survey, the BJP, along with Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), would win 21 seats and a vote share of 38 per cent. BJP on its own might win 19 seats with a vote share of 33 per cent. The LJP may win two seats, predicted the poll. In Maharashtra, BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is set to improve its 2009 tally of 20 seats. BJP is likely to get a vote share of 24 per cent, with 19 seats in Maharashtra, as compared to nine seats last time.
