State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has launched Green Channel Counter (GCC), an innovative step towards eco-friendly, paperless banking.
The facilities now available include cash deposit, withdrawal and fund transfer with a limit of Rs 40,000 per transaction. A customer need not fill up any form nor stand in a queue. A printed receipt will be given to her indicating the transactions put through the GCC.
She can avail of the GCC facility at the front office bank counter through a specially designed transaction processing device by swiping hers ATM card.
The counter was launched by managing director P Nanda Kumaran at the bank’s Kowdiar branch in Thiruvananthapuram. It will be extended to other branches in a phased manner, a press release said.
