Iran has signed a deal with World powers under which it will not ship its enriched uranium abroad in order to ease international sanctions over its disputed nuclear programme.

Top Iranian negotiator Abbas Araghchi was quoted as saying that shipping the enriched uranium abroad is Tehran's red line, News24 reports.

The comments came ahead of new negotiations between Iran and the five permanent UN Security Council members and Germany (P5+1) in Geneva in coming two days.

The international sanctions over the nuclear programme have continued to batter Iran's economy.

However, Iran has denied international claims of trying to develop nuclear capability, and insists that its nuclear programme is peaceful and for civilian purpose.
