McDonald's says a key sales figure rose 2.6% in May, with the world's biggest hamburger chain attributing the bump to its focus on value and new menu options.
The Illinois-based company noted that the increase in global sales at restaurants open at least 13 months came despite ongoing economic uncertainty.
In the US, the figure rose 2.4%. It rose 2% in Europe and edged up 0.9% in the region encompassing Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
