Former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director James Comey on Thursday testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee, saying he believes he was fired because of the Russia investigation he was leading at the time.

He said it was "very disturbing" that the US President tried to undermine the bureau's investigation into possible collusion between his 2016 presidential campaign team and Russia.
