Cardamom up by 0.1% on firm demand

Rising gains for the second straight day, cardamom prices were up by 0.14% to Rs 845.80 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions, driven by rising demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December moved up by Rs 1.20, or 0.14% to Rs 845.80 per kg in a business turnover of 9 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in November edged up 40 paise, or 0.05% to Rs 820 per kg in 113 lots.
Market analysts said besides rising demand in the spot market, fall in supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
