The NSE Nifty is up 95 points at 4,254.
HDFC Bank has zoomed over 6% to Rs 1,150. Reliance Infrastructure has soared 5.6% to Rs 909, and BHEL has surged 5.3% to Rs 1,587.
Tata Steel and Ranbaxy have rallied 4.6% each to Rs 626 and Rs 479, respectively.

ITC has gained 4.3% at Rs 187. Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank and Wipro have moved up 3.7% each to Rs 463, Rs 668 and Rs 386, respectively.
HDFC has advanced over 3% to Rs 2,152. Hindalco has surged 2.8% to Rs 147.
Cipla, NTPC and TCS have added 2.5% each to Rs 232, Rs 186 and Rs 833, respectively.
ACC and SBI are up around 2% each at Rs 553 and Rs 1,377, respectively.
Maruti has plunged over 8.5% to Rs 593. Tata Motors has shed 3.5% at Rs 405, and Bharti Airtel has slipped 1.3% to Rs 788.
The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,318 stocks traded, 1,697 have advanced, 546 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
