Reliance narrows gap with TCS

Reliance Industries’ market capitalisation surpassed that of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in intra-day trading for a second time this week. The oil and gas major, however, failed to topple the Tata group flagship as the country’s most-valued firm on a closing basis. At Friday’s closing prices, RIL’s market cap stood at Rs 455,105 crore, only Rs 300 crore less TCS’ market cap of Rs 455,405 crore.
