Sensex down 196pts; breadth fairly -ve

The Sensex is now down 196 points at 13,335.

ICICI Bank has slumped over 9% to Rs 569. Jaiprakash Associates and Satyam have plunged over 6.5% each to Rs 137 and Rs 344, respectively.

DLF has shed 5.5% at Rs 409, and Ranbaxy has tumbled 4.5% to Rs 401.

Wipro and Maruti have dropped over 4% each to Rs 385 and Rs 694, respectively.

Tata Steel has slipped 3.5% to Rs 482. TCS and Reliance Infrastructure have declined 3% each to Rs 739 and Rs 813, respectively.

SBI has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 1,532.

Out of 2,583 stocks traded so far, 2,050 have declined, 474 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
