Small sugar weakens on low demand

Small sugar prices moved down at the Vashi wholesale market here today on reduced retail demand amid ample stock positions.

Meanwhile, medium sugar closed stable in the absence of necessary buying support. 

Small sugar (S-30) quality fell by Rs 3/10 per quintal to Rs 2,788/2,831 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 2,791/2,841.

Medium Sugar (M-30) quality were unaltered at Rs 2,831/2,921.
