Wheat dara, barley rise on good demand

Wheat dara and barley prices inched up by Rs 20 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on increased buying and good demand. Traders said increased buying followed by pick up in demand pushed up the wholesale wheat dara and barley prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) gained Rs 10 to Rs 1,255-1,260 per quintal, while atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin at Rs 1,260-1,265 per 90 kg.

Barley too remained in keen demand and advanced further by Rs 20 to Rs 1,050-1,070 per quintal.
