B.L. Agarwal sent to 14 days judicial custody by Patiala High Court

A special court (Patiala House Court) sent Principal Secretary in the Chhattisgarh government, B.L Agrawal, and his relative Anand Agrawal to fourteen days judicial custody in connection with bribery case.
Agarwal was arrested by the CBI on corruption charges. It was alleged that he tried to settle his old corruption cases by paying bribes through hawala operators.
The bureaucrat allegedly agreed to pay handsome sums of money to scuttle the CBI probes into two cases registered against him since 2010.
