New Zealand coach Mike Hesson said that his team deserves more than just 'two test match series' on account of improving performance.

He said that they now deserve the right to play longer series, Stuff.co.nz reported.

He added that the reason for not having more test matches was their performance, which has significantly improved in the recent past.

The Brendan McCullum-led side is one of the few teams that have been performing consistently, winning four and drawing two of their test series, after their loss to England in 2013.

The last time New Zealand played a four test match series with England was in 1999, defeating them 2-1

England will take on Australia in the Ashes series following the two-match Test series with New Zealand.
