EC issues show cause notice to Mulayam Singh for violating model code of conduct

The Election Commission has issued a show cause notice to Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly threatening contractual government teachers to vote for his party to retain their jobs.

According to the EC, Yadav has violated the model code of conduct.

Yadav, during a rally in Uttar Pradesh had threatened contractual government teachers that if they did not vote for his party they would their jobs.
