Fire breaks out at KCR's Maha Yagnam in Telangana

A major fire broke out at one of the pandals of 'Ayutha Chandi Maha Yagnam' orgainsed by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao here in Telangana on Sunday afternoon.

According to the reports no casualties were reported and four fire tenders were on the spot dousing the fire.

People turned up in huge number to witness the Chandi Yagam on its penultimate day in Erravelli village, the organizers on Saturday created additional queue facilities.

In addition to the VIPs, more than 2 lakh people attended the yagnam being conducted by Chief Minister K C Rao.

The five-day yagna is being performed by Rao at his farm house. According to reports, about 2,000 priests from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are taking part in the mega 'yagna'.

 

KCR had invited several prominent leaders from across the country including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
