Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Wednesday arrived at the sessions court in Mumbai which will pronounce its verdict in the 2002 hit-and-run case.
According to reports, Salman's sister Alvira and Arpita, his brother-in-law, and bodyguard Shera are accompanying him to the court.
Khan, who has over Rs. 200 crore riding on him, faces the prospect of up to 10 years behind bars if convicted.
His fans across the country are anxiously awaiting a positive verdict.
While some people in Varanasi offered prayers for the superstar, the hashtag #WeLoveYouSalmanKhan was trending on twitter this morning.

The actor is accused of culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the hit-and-run case, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison.
He has been booked under Section 304 A of the Indian Penal Code (rash and negligent driving), 279 (rash driving), 337 (causing minor injuries), 338 (causing major injuries) and 427 (negligence) in
connection with the case.
The actor was earlier being tried on the charge of death by negligence which carries a maximum prison term of two years.
