The Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) on Thursday criticized the United States for including it in U.S. list of terrorist organizations and attributed the move to U.S. 'strategic partnership' with India.
"We reject the misleading and malicious assertions by the U.S. state and treasury departments as a fact less exercise and propaganda against us," the JuD tweeted.
"US allegations and its timing is precisely due to 'strategic partnership' with India in Afghanistan; against Pakistan," it further tweeted.
JuD also said that it is an independent and legal organization in Pakistan, and added that it has no affiliation with any organization.
"We believe in humanity and peace. Jamat ud Dawah's respect within the eyes of Pakistani people and Muslims around the world cannot be faded away by worthless propaganda," it tweeted.

JuD further said that it is working in the area of politics for unity in Pakistan and preaching against sectarianism and terrorism to strengthen the country.
Tighetning its noose around the Lashkar-e-Taiba, U.S. on Wednesday had added the Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) to its list of designated terror organizations. It has also added Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Al-Anfal Trust, Tehrik-e-Hurmat-e-Rasool and Tehrik-e-Tahafuz Qibla Awwal as designated aliases of the Lashkar-e-Taiba's.
It further slapped sanctions against two Pakistan-based LeT leaders. The Department of the Treasury targeted the financial and leadership networks of LeT by designating Nazir Ahmad Chaudhry (Ahmad) and Muhammad Hussein Gill as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs).
