Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government over the non recovery of black money stashed abroad, saying there is still no sign of it after almost a year of the latter being in power.

"Narendra Modi had said during the elections that they would recover black money stashed abroad and deposit Rs. 15 lakh in every account. It has been a year now and there is no sign of that. Amit Shah said it was a 'jumla'. They considered the youth of this country foolish and cheated them," he said.

Lalu earlier led a march to the Raj Bhawan in Patna to protest against the Centre's policies on black money, Land Acquisition Act amendments and inflation.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had earlier on Saturday observed a day-long fast to protest against the Land Acquisition Bill at his party's headquarters.

The two leaders are seeking to corner the Centre on the Land Acquisition Bill amendments, ahead of the assembly elections in Bihar later this year.

Earlier this week, the Lok Sabha passed the Land Acquisition Bill via a voice vote. Nine amendments to the bill have been adopted.
