Massive fire breaks out at London hotel

A massive fire broke out, tearing across the roof of the five-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Knightsbridge district of the United Kingdom (UK) capital.

The incident occurred just days after the hotel announced the completion of a multi-million-dollar renovation project.

Over 100 firefighters were sent to control the fire, CNN reported.

No causalities were reported and the staff members were safely evacuated from the 12-storey building to Hyde Park.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
