Oxygen mask found on MH17 passenger puts enquiry into spin

Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans' claim that one of the 298 people killed in the Malaysian Airlines MH17 crash wore an oxygen mask has put the complete enquiry into a spin.
Timmermans' statement contradicts an initial MH17 report that said that all passengers had died immediately after the aircraft broke up in mid-air after being pierced by a high speeding object.
According to the BBC, Timmermans' claim indicates that not everybody died instantly after the plane was hit by the object.
The Dutch public prosecutor confirmed that an oxygen mask was found but a spokesman said that it was around the passenger's neck rather than their mouth.
The oxygen mask has been secured with plastic and tested for DNA and fingerprints.
