President Pranab Mukherjee arrived in Finland on Tuesday on a two-day official visit after completing his visit to Norway.
He was received by Secretary of State Peter Stenlund at the airport in Helsinki.
President Mukherjee is accompanied by a high level delegation to Finland where he is expected to meet Finnish president, prime minister, foreign minister and the speaker.
India and Finland are expected to sign a number of pacts in the field of energy, education, fishing, science and technology during the President's visit to Finland, the first in 26 years by an Indian president.
President Mukherjee will also address a Business Seminar in Helsinki and attend an official lunch hosted by its Mayor.
He will also visit 'Arktikum' museum, Arctic Science Centre, Rovaniemi and cross the Arctic Circle.
The President will return to India on October 17.
