B Kalawati, the wife of a tribal leader from Telangana, on Saturday accused Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury of cheating after the latter allegedly took Rs. 1.10 crore to give a Congress Party ticket to her husband to enable him contest from the Wyra state assembly constituency.
She further alleged that Chowdhury did not give her husband the ticket, but gave it to somebody else.
"Before the assembly polls, Renuka Chowdhury promised us the Wyra assembly ticket, but we didn't get it. We want justice and we will take this matter to the court. She took more than Rs.1.10 crore and cheated us," Kalawati said.
Chowdhury refuted the allegations, describing it as baseless, humiliating and dirty brand politics.
"This is baseless, humiliating and dirty politics," Chowdhury said on Friday.

The Hyderabad High Court has ordered the police to register a case against Chowdhury on Kalawati's complaint.
Kalawati has also reportedly accused Chowdhury of abusing her when she sought a return of the money.
B Kalwati is the wife of Late Ramjee Naik, who is a local Congressman and a tribal leader.
