Robert Downey Jr. signs deal for 2 more 'Avengers' films

Robert Downey Jr. has reached a two-picture deal with Marvel Studios to reprise his role in the next two instalments of 'The Avengers'.

Marvel studio confirmed the news on Thursday.

The production of 'The Avengers 2' - written and directed by Joss Whedon- is scheduled to begin in March 2014, the Washington Post.

Downey had recently implied that 'Iron Man 3' might be his last time in a stand-alone 'Iron Man' flick.
