Rosberg beats Hamilton to gain Russian GP pole position

Nico Rosberg edged past his Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton to secure pole position for Russian Grand Prix at Sochi on Saturday.
The German driver, who was three hundredths of a second quicker than Hamilton, claimed third pole position of the season, Sport24 reported.
Meanwhile, Williams' Valtteri Bottas finished third ahead of four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari.
Earlier, the third and the final practice session of Sunday's Russian Grand Prix was cancelled after Toro Rosso's driver Carlos Sainz Jr suffered a crash during the race. Carlos' car lost control under-breaking and speared into the barriers at the Sochi track.
