Senior Pakistani journalist Aftab Alam was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Karachi today.
The Forty-two-year-old former employee of Geo TV was attacked outside his home in north Karachi.
This is second attack on media personnel in Karachi in the last 24 hours.
On Tuesday, Arshad Ali Jafri, a satellite engineer, was killed when a GEO TV van was attacked. The assailants fled on motorcycles after opening fire.
According to reports, sections of the Pakistani media have questioned the efficiency of government and the security forces in tackling such incidents.
